With this brake caliper refurbishment service, we will start by fully disassembling and solvent cleaning your motorcycle brake calipers. Once we’ve finished with the strip and clean, we’ll inspect the components, and where necessary, check tolerances.
Next, we’ll media strip, re-coat and oven bake your caliper casings.
Once re-coated the calipers get a final clean and are then rebuilt using fresh fittings and seals. The refurbishment service includes replacement of the following components where applicable: pressure and dust seals, joint seals, slide gaiters, bleed screws, dust caps and copper washers. The prices in the table below are for the workshop labour time only, and the parts are charged in addition.
If, rarely, new pistons are required these mostly cost between £13 and £22 each, though some types can be more. If we do find piston problems, we take, and email close up photos so you can decide if you want to change them.
We only rebuild calipers with Brakemasters™ or OEM parts so that we can ensure the safety of the components.
