At Powerhouse, we are pledged to doing our bit for the planet. We sell top quality products to keep old motorcycles and cars on the road, which in turn can reduce the number of new vehicles being produced. Our brake caliper seal repair kits and piston repair kits along with our brake caliper refurbishment / rebuild services allow people to get new life out of tired-out, old components, which would otherwise end up getting replaced completely.

Although on the grand scale these are small steps, over the last decade we have helped to keep countless old bikes on the road!

To reduce our carbon footprint and the minimise packaging waste we send out, we have started to remove plastics from our packaging. Our envelopes are now fully produced from recycled paper and are therefore much easier for our customers to dispose of. Our kit blister packs are soon getting replaced with cardboard-only alternatives.

On the Tuning side of the business, we are doing what we can to reduce our impact; for example, we now send out all our oil in reusable screw top bottles, instead of the former single-use containers.

In our premises we have upgraded all our lights to LED, with motion sensors so that they aren’t switched on needlessly. We have recycling bins for waste that cannot be further used.

Our ECU remapping programme is helping our customers get much higher MPG out of their vehicles, therefore reducing their own carbon footprint!

Where possible, we ship our packages in boxes to suit the size of the item. This takes up less room in courier vans, and therefore increases their efficiency. All our Royal Mail postage labels are printed with the CO2 impact from shipping the item.

We offer a click and collect service through our eBay shop, which decreases the distance travelled by courier drivers and allows our customers to collect when passing.

In cases where we receive packages containing bubble wrap from suppliers, this is re-used to protect our products in shipping, and we hope it is further re-used again by you, our customer!

Over the coming years as we grow as a company, we will do our best to do so as sustainably as possible.
