Here’s Our Story:

Powerhouse started over 12 years ago in a small workshop in the centre of Sheffield. Back then we performed general servicing & maintenance on motorbikes, as well as race builds on engines. We began to offer brake caliper rebuild services, and this side of the business grew rapidly. At the same time, due to our engine builds, we developed an interest in Eaton superchargers for JLR’s.

After 18 months, we moved to bigger premises on the outskirts of Sheffield, Millhouses. This gave us the space we needed to expand what we were able to offer as a business. We found that we really enjoyed the motorcycle brake calipers’ side of the business and decided to develop this interest further. The response was incredible, and this grew quickly! We were amongst the first companies in the world to offer these services.

In addition to the brake calipers, we found that we enjoyed rebuilding superchargers, and developing upgrade pulleys.

Once again, the time soon came that we outgrew the premises we were in. We often get customers calling up saying ‘I remember when your company was at the back of the train tracks’, it’s great that customers remember us, and keep returning years later!

We moved from Millhouses, Sheffield to a large industrial estate, Sheepbridge, on the outskirts of Chesterfield. Whilst moving premises, we coincided the move with expanding our team. At this stage we were able to offer all aspects of our caliper refurbishment services in house, including the media strip and recoat of brake caliper casings.

The extra team members meant that we could put more time into developing components and expanding the range of motorcycles we were able to offer brake caliper seal kits for. The extra space of the new premises meant that we could manufacture and stock more parts for motorcycle brake calipers.

We were able grow the car side of the business, and expanded our range of Jaguar and Aston Martin springs as well as the upgrade pulleys for Jaguars, Range Rovers and other Eaton Superchargers.

Fast forward some years, and we’ve moved premises again. We now rebuild thousands of brake calipers each year, for customers based all over the world. Our brake caliper seal kits are used and trusted by trade, and retail customers around the globe, and we sell tens of thousands of these kits each year.

Our supercharger development grows from strength to strength, and we are always trying to increase the range of superchargers which we can help customers both reuse and get more enjoyment out of. Our Supercharger workshop rebuilds hundreds of superchargers each year. We sell our Supercharger rebuild kits around the world, and our performance upgrade pulleys get a huge amount of positive attention! We have become agents for Viezu and are now able to offer ECU Remapping (both Economy and Performance maps) for a huge range of vehicles.

We’d like to give a mention to our dedicated staff team who work so hard to keep our customers happy.
